I'm trying to decide between the 450 rally and the mx250. I know they're completely different but as someone that does off-roading a lot I think the mx250 would probably be a better option for me. With that said, it's not street legal, which isn't a massive dealbreaker, but I can't ignore it completely. My question is, how well does the 450 do in off-road scenarios and should I go for it just for the sheer conveniance?

The 450 Rally handles off-road surprisingly well for a street-legal bike, if you want convenience without sacrificing too much off-road ability, it's a good choice over the MX250

The 450 Rally is surprisingly capable off-road for a street-legal bike, especially on more open trails and fire roads.
If your off-roading is mostly aggressive single track and challenging terrain, the MX250's performance edge will be noticeable.
But if you're mixing in a good amount of dual-sport riding, or just want the freedom to connect trails without trailering, the 450's convenience is a huge factor!

@Clampon The MX250 is a dedicated dirt weapon, it's lighter, sharper handling, and built for aggressive off road. You're right, it'll likely outperform the Rally in technical terrain
