I was looking into getting my brother a Kove Moto while he's in the UK, but I noticed the prices are higher than in the US. The 800X Pro and 450RR cost more across the pond and I'm wondering if it's just VAT and import fees or if there's another reason for the difference?

it's not just taxes, but it's the whole complex cost of getting the bike legally compliant and properly sold/supported in a new region

Ah that makes a lot of sense thank you. I figured it wasn't a simple matter but I couldn't quite put my finger on all the details. When you mention getting it legally compliant what sort of things does that involve beyond emissions? I imagine setting up a new dealer network and parts supply chain over there also costs a pretty penny.
